In the first part of this episode, we’re talking to Michaela. Michaela worked as an event designer in New York City before returning home to build a family in Minnesota. We talked on April 3, and things were still so new for all of us. Michaela is an event designer, working with organizations to host their biggest company events. Now, during this pandemic, she’s looking ahead to a lot of unknowns. She and her husband have a sweet baby boy, and in the first days of the pandemic they had a huge decision to make…
In the second part of this episode we’re talking to Erica. Erica and I met years ago taking classes at Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis. Both of us left pottery behind when we had kids, but we stayed connected online, watching each other welcome kids into the world. When we talked on April 13, Erica was still in the middle of self-guided sabbatical, a break from her every day habits and routines… it was quite the setup heading into a pandemic…
In the last part of this episode, we’re talking to Maria. Maria is my oldest friend… we’ve been friends since elementary school. We grew up together, got through our high school years together… watched each other fall in love and have kids. Now she's raising her daughter in Kansas. We both moved away from our home state of Texas. Maria and I talked on April 13, and honestly, there’s nothing like hearing a familiar voice that’s meant so much to you for so many years…
