In the first part of this episode, Sarah. Sarah is the first friend I made when I moved to Minneapolis nearly a decade ago. She and her husband Thomas live in Minneapolis, and when Sarah and I talked on March 27 we were still in the middle of everything changing. We talked over Zoom which was becoming a household name over night. And, like old friends do, I noticed her new haircut right away…
In the second part of this episode we're talking to Lesley. Lesley is a writer in Hong Kong and a Correspondent for A City Made By People, an internet publication and global network for city enthusiasts. Lesley founded their Hong Kong Chapter, and through that network, she’s in contact with people around the world living through their own pandemic stories. If you’ve been listening for a while, you know I’ve put out the invitation to anyone and everyone that they can be part of the podcast. Lesley took me up on the offer, and I was so excited that she did. We were finally able to connect on May 8. Honestly, it was so nice to talk with someone feeling so much more at ease about the pandemic than I was…
